Jonas Scherer

Jonas Scherer is a dedicated Data Scientist from Freiburg, Germany, known for his expertise in medical image analysis, machine learning, and cloud computing. He recently co-founded a company in the medical data analysis domain, continuing his innovative work in developing cloud-based infrastructure and applying machine learning in real-world healthcare scenarios.

Previously, Jonas earned his PhD in medical image analysis from the German Cancer Research Center and the University of Heidelberg, where he focused on decentralized infrastructures for medical image computing. He also spearheaded the open-source project Kaapana, a sophisticated toolkit for medical image computing infrastructure, heavily incorporating Docker and Kubernetes to address the needs of hospitals and research institutions.
