Andrea Gallegati

Andrea is an aerospace engineer with a Ph.D. in turbulence and computational fluid dynamics. His career journey began with a focus on parallel computing in scientific simulations, which sparked a deep interest in software development, containerization, security, and CI/CD. As a DevOps Engineer and Security Champion at IDS AirNav, he plays a key role in maintaining and optimizing microservices, standardizing deployments using Ansible and Docker, and ensuring security across complex systems. Andrea is also an educator, teaching programming and software development courses at Temple University's Rome campus. He uses Dockerized environments in his classes to inspire students and streamline development processes, making technical concepts more accessible and fostering enthusiasm for containerization. Outside of work, Andrea enjoys cooking with friends and family, discussing movies of all genres, staying active, and diving into late night coding sessions. Whether it's mentoring others, collaborating on innovative solutions, or free-diving into uncharted territory, Andrea is always eager to take action, grow, and make a positive impact. He thrives on tackling complex challenges and embracing cutting-edge technologies.
